even local companies are now poised to enter the global marketplace, having completed intensive export training provided by the World Trade Center Charleston (WTCC), and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Cohort IV, who completed their 3-month training program on December 8, 2015, are professionals of BoatLIFE, Concentric, Engineered Marine Coatings (EMC2), Formatical, Southern Twist Cocktail Co., Talk Tools and Terressentia.

Companies that have completed the export training program have reported significant success in increased sales through exporting. World Trade Center Charleston and the Chamber follow each graduating company to report outcomes and success. To date, 21 companies have completed the export training and have produced more than $2 million dollars in actual or pending international sales.
Export training sessions are limited to leaders from eight companies, allowing for personalized attention and customization. Training is conducted by a nationally acclaimed trainer of import-export compliance and procedures, and is conducted in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service, the S.C. Department of Commerce, the S.C. Small Business Development Center and the College of Charleston.
Final presentations were given to a group of expert evaluators, including Devin Patro of Wells Fargo, Geoff Schuler, Chairman, WTCC Council and Gordon Bingham of Arbordale Associates LLC.

Started in 2012 to create quality, small batch cocktail mixes to enable all cocktail enthusiasts to easily create craft cocktails, Southern Twist Cocktail Infusions are all-natural, non-alcoholic, and available in four flavors: Ginger and Jalapeño, Lavender and Vanilla, Bison Grass, and Hibiscus and Mint, with more innovative and delicious flavors to come. Currently sold in a dozen Charleston area restaurants, as well as retail spots across South Carolina. They are also now a vendor for Southern Season and Home Goods nationwide.
