Back to Basics: Writing a Business Continuity Plan
Thursday, April 23
7:30 - 11:30 am
Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce
(2750 Speissegger Dr., N. Charleston)
What is a business continuity plan? Why should a business have one? How do I write one? These questions and more will be answered on Thursday, April 23 as the Business Continuity Planning Council presents \"Back to Basics: Writing a Business Continuity Plan.\" In light of natural disasters, economic downturn and other unforeseen obstacles to keeping businesses open, a business continuity plan can make the difference of staying in business.
The workshop will provide businesses with the help they need to create a business continuity plan in case of an emergence whether it\'s a man made or natural disaster. This includes hurricanes, terrorism attack, flood or even theft. The event will begin with a presentation on four important factors to concentrate the focus of your business continuity plan: people, insurance, information technology and communications.
After the presentation, attendees will be provided a sample business continuity plan and walk through how to complete it for their business. There will also be a one-on-one question and answer period with the presenters. Don\'t miss this opportunity to help your business sustain itself.
