Registration Deadline Extended - 2010 Chamber Trip to China Registration Deadline
December 15, 2009

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is offering a trip to China on March 6 - 14, 2010 and inviting you to join them for only $1,999 for members and $2,399 for non-members.  This extraordinary experience, "Gateway of Discovery to China," is available to anyone who would like to join in on the adventure.  There are only 75 seats available for this trip, and it will sell out quickly.

The Chamber is partnering with Citslinc, International, an organization working to promote positive economic growth in the realm of international trade with China that takes more than 60,000 Chamber travelers from across the United States each year to learn about China, its rich history and culture.

The nine-day, seven-night trip includes roundtrip airfare from John F. Kennedy International Airport to China, all hotel room night stays at four- and five-star hotels, three meals each day, deluxe bus tours, airport transportation within China, luggage handling, English-speaking tour guides, admission tickets and airport taxes during the length of the trip.

Additional expenses to be incurred by travelers will include:  transportation to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport, visa application fee, passport fee, tips ($25 per person) and optional side tour fees.  Single occupancy travelers will add an additional $450 fee to their total and travelers desiring a bonus trip upgrade and/or business class flight upgrade will also incur additional expenses.

A $300 non-refundable deposit is due upon reservation for each traveler.  Spaces will not be held under any circumstance without deposit due to the limited number of seats available.

To register or to learn more about the trip, contact Emily Brown at 843.805.3042 or ebrown@charlestonchamber.org

Full payment for the trip and the Chinese visa application must be received by December 15, 2009.  No refunds will be offered after December 1, 2009 under any circumstances, nor will any swaps be allowed due to passport and visa applications.

All travelers are required to have a current passport and Chinese visa for travel on this trip.

Here's what 2009 China Trip travelers had to say:

The March 2009 Chamber Trip to China was "the trip of a lifetime" for me!  It continues to be an experience which delights and inspires. The Chinese people, without exception, were well-mannered, friendly, and helpful.  Our hotels were magnificent with silk bed linens, fancy showers, the most up-to-date technology, quiet and comfortable

Trip of a life time...congratulations to the Chamber and their staff!  Our trip was planned well, and the accommodations were wonderful.  You can hear about Shanghai and you can see the wall on TV, but to be right there...standing on the wall is awesome.  We did not have one mishap, from the bus picking us up, after touring the Forbidden City, to the air flights, everything went smooth.  This is a trip that was fun and so informative.

Beth and Bruce Savage said that it was the most informative, thought provoking, complete trip they have ever taken.  Wonderful guides, breath taking tours of the country packed into a period of time that you could never do on your own in such a short period of time.  An adventure of a lift time.  Kudos to the Chamber for giving us such a unique opportunity and such a bargain!

This was the trip of our lifetimes (so far!) We loved our fellow travelers as well as the Chinese people we met along the way. Accommodations were great and the tour was very well organized. We'd recommend it to anyone with an adventurous spirit and a taste for discovering new things!
