Managing the Storm:  HR Strategies and the Roadmap to Recovery
Human Resource Workshop Series

The Chamber Labor Climate Network was established by the Business Development division at the Chamber to determine how best to inform the region on employment and labor issues so that employees and employers can determine the best programs for their work environments. The network brings together community leaders from all areas of business to share insights and provide suggestions on how the region can work together and communicate what the region's latest efforts are. It focuses on what is happening in our community, as well as what business owners can do to ensure they are developing the best programs for their work environment.

On Thursday, June 4, the Chamber Labor Climate Network will host a workshop entitled, "Managing the Storm: HR Strategies and the Roadmap to Recovery," in the Chamber Boardroom. Given our current economic climate, it is important that businesses, business managers and human resource professionals understand the environment in which employees are working in and plan accordingly.

The workshop will provide businesses and HR professionals with the help they need to create a plan to ensure they retain their talent and keep their businesses up and running. Recovering from this current economic downturn is not going to be easy therefore, it is vital that using strategic planning to ensure that they stay in business and are the first to cross the recovery finish line.

Special guest speaker: Kenneth T. Lopatka - former Chief Legal Counsel to the National Labor Relations Board Chair.  Ken will share the very latest from Washington, D.C. on the ever evolving labor agenda.
