Cyber Terrorism: Threats and Solutions of a Net Enabled Nation


This is the fifth in a series of annual conferences that focus on innovative technologies addressing terrorist and natural threats to the nation's security, and that promote the role of the Charleston region in bringing government, business and military entities together to develop solutions.  The conference is marketed to government contractors, military leaders, business executives, economic development professionals, safety managers, first responders, homeland security consultants and researchers interested in the latest updates on potential homeland security threats as well as innovative solutions from local and regional organizations.

Highlights of the conference include:• Address by Dr. Thomas Cellucci, Chief Commercialization Officer, Department of Homeland Security

 

  • Joseph Opacki, Forensic Investigator for the FBI will discuss the current state Malware investigations.
  • Mike Kutch will update attendees on SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic Cyber Security Campaign Plan.
  • Pre-Conference activities including C-17 flight and "Salute to Military" kick-off reception
  • Exhibition Hall - where companies from all over the country will demonstrate their homeland security related products.
  • Innovation Isle -where South Carolina emerging companies can present their new homeland security technologies.
  • Information on doing business with SPAWAR and securing government contracts.

Salute to the Military - Celebrating the link between Charleston’s business and military communities


In conjunction with the Homeland Security Innovation Conference this year, the Salute to the Military event is Charleston's best opportunity for you to not only show your support for our local military, but also to celebrate their contributions to our country and community.  Awards will be presented to active-duty and reservists from each branch of the military. Two civilians and a local business that show exemplary support for the military presence in Charleston will also be awarded. 

Special entertainment provided by the United States Air Force Blue Aces Popular Music Ensemble.
