Developers Council

The Chamber’s Developers Council was fromed in 2002 and includes more than 300 professionals who represent various sectors in the development industry for the purpose of starting a dialogue between the development community and local government about growth regulations and its impact upon the business community.

The Developers Council hold quarterly meetings on issues and regulations impacting the residential, commercial and industrial development community with the mission of providing leadership to balance between growth and quality of life by utilizing its members’ collective expertise to guide change positively in our community. In 2005, the Developers Council’s Growth Ethic was unanimously adopted by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Key focus areas of the Developers Council include:

  • Housing affordability
  • Regional land use planning
  • Growth regulations impacting residential and non-residential development
  • Planning, zoning and building issues

Developers Council meetings are quarterly. Each year the Developers Council also holds an Annual Growth Forum to discuss regional growth issues and sustained and balanced growth in our region.
