The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce provides the business community with the leadership needed to foster an economic and political climate favorable to all businesses in order to make this the best place to live, learn, work and play.

Through programs and initiatives, the Chamber serves as an advocate to balance quality growth with quality of life and optimizes the area's business climate by educating its membership on issues affecting the region.

As just one example, the Chamber gives members a voice in the political process and keeps them informed through the Chamber's Public Policy Division. The Chamber also supports the enhancement of a strong workforce and the development of future community leadership. This is done, in part, by helping grow knowledge-based businesses and creating opportunities for innovation where entrepreneurs and new businesses will develop and grow in the Charleston region.
