What we Stand for
Each year the Chamber identifies top legislative priorities that we will pursue on a local, state, and federal level. Take Action
By using the Chamber Watch website and receiving the Chamber Watch email updates, the Chamber has made it easy for members to better understand the political process, the Chamber’s position on important issues, and current legislation and regulations being addressed on the local, state and federal levels. We hope that you use these tools to get involved and become a part of the collective voice of business!
The Chamber is your Advocate
As the voice of business in the Charleston metro region, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is committed to keeping our region competitive and improving the business climate. One of the best ways we can achieve this goal is through the legislative process. The Chamber works on behalf of our members to advocate policies and legislation that contributes to the growth and prosperity of our region.
Our Partners
Although the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce works closely with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, every chamber of commerce is independent of all others. The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) organization and is comprised of more than 2,000 organizations that invest in our Chamber on an annual basis. We are a broad-based business association with members across all business sectors. Consequently, the positions we take have a consensus that reflects the needs of a wide range of industries and that keep the overall interests of the business community in mind.
